The beginning of a dream
In May 2018, the Fuego volcano made one of the largest eruptions in recent years, leaving hundreds of families without a home, many of them losing everything, including their loved ones. God used this event to put Tulio's heart into creating the Birdhouse Foundation to build homes for people in need.
Working during covid
For the year 2020 we had a promise to build three more houses with a team that would come from the United States, but in March of that year the covid arrived in Guatemala and the team no longer came, they canceled everything. We thought that was the end. But God had other plans, the team that would come to build the 3 houses decided to send the money even though they would not come to Guatemala. We finished the year building seven houses.
God take us to Acatenango
In November we began one of our most desired goals by working directly in Acatenango, making an alliance with the team “Voluntad para servir” with whom we have grown together.
What else?
By 2024 our goal is to build 22 houses. We also want to find land to continue dreaming and one day build a training center for the youth of Acatenango.
